Need handrails? Custom? You got it!

As a welding and fabrication shop, we are often hired to build handrails, guardrails, stair rails, and fencing. Often times, those jobs include difficult situations that require on-site fabrication. Let me explain a little bit about how that works and why the word "custom" often adds to your price!

When we fabricate items on-site, it is a whole lot different than fabricating in the shop. And, most times, after we build your item on-site, it won't stay there! We have to measure, cut parts, weld them together, install them in their proper location and configuration and then remove them all again so that we can have them powder coated so that they will withstand the elements! We encounter many different situations like this and often are asked how it will work. I have included, in the gallery below, a few photos to show the steps of custom on-site fabrication and the challenges it presents.

So, as you can see, a lot of work goes into a "custom railing" and the reason your cost may seem high is because it is a lot of work for us to do the job the way you want it. We do everything in our power to keep our prices down, but there are some situations that do not allow us to do that as we like to. We take pride in what we do and want you to love the work we have done for you. We also are very conscious of your cost and your safety, which means that we may have requirements to meet safety codes that force us to modify your design.
